Life on Mars
Another American import of a British hit. Life on Mars is titled after a David Bowie song from 1973, and is so named because the premise is about a modern cop who hits his head and wakes up in ’73. No, we’re not going to ask you to “stay with us,” as that is simply a bizarre and, to our mind, not very rich premise. However, we did give the original BBC series a shot when it came out in ’06, only to determine that there really wasn’t much there. We honestly don’t know how the American series measures up, but since the UK version wasn’t our cuppa tea, we doubt the US one will be our black coffee.NO SCORE
